It’s been a while since I posted a drawing. This is my first time drawing by myself. There are so many windows…. But it feels nice seeing a finished product.

Illustrator Rini

@xoxo_rini

Hello! I am Rini, an illustrator and your instructor! I have never strayed too far from drawing. While working with digital illustration, I have taught drawing classes for four years.

I’ve connected with a lot of people through our online and offline drawing classes. It gives me joy to see people learn the basics of drawing through my class and find enjoyment in drawing.

In this tiring and stressful life, I hope to create time where you can heal. Let’s draw together!

  • People who want to draw by themselves
  • People who struggle to draw sketches that aren’t strange or awkward
  • People who want to learn drawing theory
  • People who want to learn urban sketch drawing and how to draw various objects
  • People who want to start a new hobby

Materials are picked & used by the artist.

1. A drawing pad for designers 220gsm A4, 2 sets

2. Staedtler Pigment Liner 6 sets
Liner pen sets necessary for the pen-drawing. Its composed of 0.05 / 0.1 / 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.5 / 0.8mm liners so, it's more convenient to describe textures with different sizes.

3. Tombow 2B Pencil & eraser

4. Rini's Sample Collection
Samples and references for the class! (For those of you who purchase class access only, the samples will be provided as a pdf file in the class notes)

Q. How is pen drawing different from regular drawing?

A. The pen drawing you will learn in class with me will be sketched with pencil and then drawn with pen. Of course, if you practice enough, you can draw directly with a pen without sketching with pencil. Also, the drawing basics that you learn in the class apply equally to whatever you draw. Only the tools you use will vary depending on the situation, and as you learn the basics of drawing, you can draw with both pen and pencil.

Q. I have never drawn before, can I take a class?

A. Everyone who took my offline classes were beginners when they started. The only expose you’ve had was art class when you were in elementary or middle school. But it doesn't matter at all! My class consists of a curriculum for beginners. All you need is the desire and motivation to follow along. With that, you will be able to draw impressive sketches.

Q. Will I be able to draw on my own after taking this class?

A. My goal is to teach you to draw on your own after class. That's why I don't just tell you to watch and follow without understanding. By simply looking at and following someone else's drawing, you're likely to get stuck again. If you learn how to draw, you can add your own drawing style later.
